Sometimes referred to as the brown water fleet, this category
can include a wide variety of vessels such as tugs, barges, oil service vessels,
crew boats, pile drivers, ferries, and even research vessels.
In addition to hull and machinery coverage, a wide variety of
liability exposures need to be covered, such as Crew coverage, Longshore and Harbor
Workers, pollution liability, special project bonds, passenger liability, and even
cargo legal liability.
Other special exposures unique to the owners operation would
also have to be addressed.
